As the Office of the National Leading Group for Rectification and Standardization of Market Economic Order and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council approved the first batch of industry credit rating evaluation pilot units in the country, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles has recently formulated the ''China Textile and Apparel Import and Export Industry Enterprise Credit Rating Management Measures ", and will carry out credit rating evaluation of the textile and apparel import and export industry nationwide from January 15, 2008.
The object of this evaluation is the member enterprises of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles (including member enterprises of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan); for non-member enterprises whose main business is the textile and clothing industry and registered according to law and other economic organizations, they can apply to participate in the industry credit rating evaluation after joining the Chamber of Commerce. Evaluation enterprises can submit application materials after December 5, 2007. After evaluation, enterprises with good credit can be highlighted in government departments, foreign industry associations, foreign embassies in China, etc., and obtain priority recommend qualifications in the selection of "China Export Famous Brand", ecological textile certification, and participation in domestic and foreign exhibitions.
